🎬 Submission Requirements

To ensure your entry is eligible, please carefully read the following technical and content specifications:

1. Production Tools

• The core visual footage of the entry must be primarily generated using VidMuse.
• Third-party software (e.g., CapCut, Premiere, DaVinci) is allowed for post-production (editing, color grading, text overlays), provided it does not obscure the generative characteristics of VidMuse.

2. Video Specifications

• Length: Minimum 30 seconds.
• Aspect Ratio: 16:9 (Landscape) or 9:16 (Vertical).
• Resolution: 1080p.
• Format: MP4 or MOV only. File size should be under 1GB.

3. Music & Copyright (Important)

• We strongly recommend using AI-generated music (e.g., Suno, Udio) or original music for which you hold full rights.
• Warning: Please avoid using copyrighted commercial tracks (e.g., mainstream pop songs). Entries containing unauthorized copyrighted music may be disqualified from the contest and will not be eligible for the official website showcase due to legal risks.

4. Verification

• You must include the VidMuse Project Share Link in your submission form. This allows our team to verify the generation process.

⚖️ Judging Criteria

Our panel of judges will evaluate entries based on the following dimensions:

1. Story Concept: Does the video express a unique creative idea or an impressive visual concept?
2. Visual Fidelity: Does the imagery demonstrate unique, avant-garde, and excellent aesthetic judgment?
3. Audio-Visual Sync: The degree to which the editing rhythm matches the music's emotion, and whether the visuals perfectly amplify the infectious power of the music.

📜 Terms & Conditions

By participating in this Event, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions:

1. Usage Rights

• The Entrant retains the right of authorship (attribution) to the submitted Entry.
• The Entrant hereby grants to VidMuse and its affiliates, successors, and licensees a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sublicensable, and transferable license to use the Entry. This license includes but is not limited to the rights to: reproduce, store, publicly display, communicate via information networks, distribute, adapt, edit, translate, create derivative works, compile, add watermarks/subtitles/brand elements, and use the Entry for commercial or non-commercial promotion via any medium or channel now known or hereafter devised (including but not limited to official website display, social media publication and co-creation, paid advertising, public demonstrations/roadshows/media coverage, and partner joint marketing).
• VidMuse will make reasonable efforts to credit the Creator when using the Entry. However, the Entrant acknowledges and agrees that in certain advertising formats or restricted layouts, attribution may not be feasible, and such omission shall not constitute a breach of these Terms. The Entrant consents to VidMuse’s use of the Entrant’s name/nickname, avatar, social media profile links, and biography for attribution and promotional purposes within the scope described above.
• Regarding winning entries, the Entrant agrees to cooperate with VidMuse for "Collab" posts on Instagram or other social media platforms. If the Entrant does not possess a relevant account, VidMuse reserves the right to publish the Entry independently through its official accounts.

2. Warranties and Indemnification

• The Entrant warrants that the submitted Entry (including visuals and music) is their original work or that they have obtained all necessary legal authorizations.
• The Entrant warrants that the submitted Entry and related materials (including but not limited to music, fonts, stock images/videos, models, trademarks, portraits, and location footage) do not infringe upon any third party’s intellectual property rights (including but not limited to music copyright and stock footage copyright), portrait rights, rights of privacy, or other legal rights. Special Notice: Please ensure you possess licenses for commercial use, not merely for personal entertainment.
• The Entrant warrants that the Entry does not contain violence, pornography, hate speech, defamation, or content violating applicable laws.
• The Entrant shall bear full legal liability for any disputes arising from the Entry (such as music copyright issues). VidMuse assumes no liability whatsoever. The Entrant agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless VidMuse and its affiliates from and against any third-party claims, penalties, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees, investigation costs, and settlement amounts) arising out of or related to the Entry or the Entrant’s breach of these Terms.
• VidMuse reserves the right to determine, at its sole discretion and at any time, whether an Entry meets the requirements. VidMuse may refuse to publish, remove, or disqualify an Entry or Entrant without prior notice or explanation (to the extent permitted by law).

3. Quality Threshold & Prize Adjustment

• VidMuse will select winning entries based on its own judging criteria and procedures.
• VidMuse is dedicated to showcasing the highest standard of AI artistry. If, in VidMuse’s sole discretion, none of the submitted entries meet the professional standards required for the "Best Director" award, VidMuse reserves the right to declare the award vacant or adjust the prize distribution method. Undistributed prize money will roll over to future community event pools.
• Upon discovery of any cheating, traffic manipulation, plagiarism, provision of false information, or violation of these Terms, VidMuse reserves the right to disqualify the Entrant, revoke awards, remove the Entry, and demand the return of any distributed prizes.

4. Payment & Taxes

• All cash prizes are denominated in US Dollars (USD) and will be distributed via bank transfer or other methods designated by VidMuse. Any bank handling fees or platform service fees incurred during the transfer shall be borne by the winner and directly deducted from the prize amount.
• Tax declaration and withholding obligations depend on the winner's jurisdiction (e.g., residents of Mainland China must handle Incidental Income Tax according to regulations). Important Notice: We will contact winners via email to collect necessary payment information (such as bank account details/ID numbers) and coordinate specific tax arrangements. Please ensure your contact email is active. Winners shall be solely responsible for reporting and paying any applicable taxes arising from the prize in accordance with the law; if the law requires VidMuse to withhold and remit taxes or report income, VidMuse reserves the right to handle such matters in accordance with applicable laws. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, bank/intermediary bank fees and remittance costs shall be borne by the winner.

5. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

• To the extent permitted by law, VidMuse reserves the right of final interpretation of these Event Rules.
• These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong. Any dispute, controversy, difference, or claim arising out of or relating to this Event shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration administered by the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) under the HKIAC Administered Arbitration Rules in force when the Notice of Arbitration is submitted.
